Foregone: Sound Design, Voice Design, Music Composition
My primary job on Forgone was the composition of 29 music tracks for the game. Not just creating it mind you, implementing it and helping create the custom tools for the music in Unity as well. The music I created for Forgone won Best Musical Composition from the Montréal Independent Game Awards in 2019. The style of the music was designed and written in a special way, as it had to be immersive and change based on what status the player was in. This meant dynamic changes that felt smooth as the music went from in and out of combat, low health, and stingers. I didn’t just stop at writing music for this project. I also created original Sound Effects for characters, enemies and UI.
The picture to the left is of the award I won for the sound department at Big Blue Bubble in 2019. The award is for Best Musical Composition at the Montreal Independent Game Awards, for the music I wrote on the action platformer Foregone.
